So I finally bit the bullet and made a rom out of my “acquired” build. Here it is, completely deblured. More information can be found below.

So, as a developer I like to work on android for myself and for the community. I work with many different developers and learn from them all, in big or small ways. Over time I have moved between different communities when I felt like it was getting to crowded or we were becoming unproductive. I find that it is that time again.

Instead of going to another website me and one of my good friends toxigenicpoem have decided to build a website called simply-android.com. I welcome all users of android of any phone or device. Hope to see you their.

So I have not been sitting around doing nothing while in between builds. I like to mod different applications to my liking in my spare time. Some of which are included in some of my builds, others are just for myself. If you want to take a look at them go ahead; I love to share them. Links below, I honestly do not care if you don’t like them, and if there are any errors fix them yourself

I do not know about you all but I am excited. Some guy on modmymobile.com released the official 2.1 for the Motorola Cliq today (Here is his website) With this build in place, my apprentice travisjamesss can finish up Eclair2Cliq with barakinflorida so we can finally have a fully working vanilla eclair build for the Cliq.

Also, in the engadget post talking about the leak, my name was dropped for my rooting method for the Cliq. I am now a tag on engadget

After doing a review of opencliqs build OpenCliq 2.5 (link here) I had some concerns about him maybe taking to much credit for himself in releasing this as a rom and not a mod.

On a side-note this is the first video posted where I was smart enough to use a stand to hold my nexus and enable 720p recording.

This is a new developer to the forums, toxigenicpoem. After spending some time on the phone with him I decided to do a review of his mod, ToxicMod Alpha3. His work may not look like much but this guy can do kernels better than I can ever dream. I am partnering with him to bring better builds to you all in the future.

Welcome to PureHandler. If you are a follower of the modmymobile.com cliq forums (if not you should) then you would have noticed my new PureHandler series I have started. When I started it with 0.0 and 0.0r1 I had no real idea as to what I wanted to do with the build. I was just adding features I liked, and if you didn’t like it then to bad. Well when I started working on my first deblured build (this one) I had no idea where to start. I had learned a few months back how to tear open-sources applications down to their dalvik-byte code but I never knew how to implement them correctly because I always got signature errors. With the help of one of my friends I was about to learn how to implement them correctly. So when I can tear down any application to its source it makes debluring super easy.

With all that work done I though I was done but blur likes to break things, shortly after I released 1.0 I learned that I had an error that when you receive an incoming call it would not read your contact list for contact info, so you had an unknown number everytime. I fixed it and reuploaded the build. Then I learned that the fix kills the default sms. After fighting with it for a few day I just added HandCent to it and called it a day.

Thus, this build is PureHandler 1.0 “Take Two”

More Information

Above is a screenshot of my work-in-project recovery. I am trying to learn more about recoveries in general, adding more features, and making is more stable along the way. I am taking any recommendations for features or images you would like added as the background ext. I am looking for someone who can do graphics good so I can have a themed recovery that is not themed by someone who sucks at photoshot(me).
